My husband and I have been to Columbus many, many times, but I'm looking for some good restaurants to go to other than like...PF Changs, The Cheescake Factory etc.

Any good suggestions for a nice, romantic dinner? We are not picky...seafood, steak...whatever. We are just looking for something else that we haven't been to.

Thanks!

For seafood, check out Columbus Fish Market on Olentangy River Rd at 3rd.
For steak, I dunno, I don't eat a ton of steak, Cameron Mitchell's restaurants are very good, also Hyde Park is tops from what I've heard. These places most likely need reservations, and V-day? good luck, better call soon!

What type of cuisine are you into? Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is one of the nicer hibachi establishments if you are into those.

DH & I can recommend both Hyde Park & Columbus Fish market. Have a very good evening!

Unless you really, really like cheesecake, I would stay away from The Cheesecake Factory. It is as romantic as a dorm or prison dining hall. And as loud as one too. I would stick with the above recommendations. In fact, stay away from Easton and look elsewhere.

I also saw a local White Castle advertising "Valentine's Dinner"? Is this a joke? Sorry, I drink their coffee on occasion and can't say I have never stopped in for a fish or chicken after a few too many, but I am not a part of the WC cult. So I am not sure what the whole Valentine's-WC connection is all about.

Well, I have eaten at the Cheesecake Factory before...several times actually and I really enjoy it. I'm not saying that is where we are going...but I do like the Easton area. I do want to check out some of the suggestions mentioned before though...I've heard of a few of them but never been.

Thanks!

I second the Burgandy Room suggestion. You just can't go wrong there.

Let's see, The Melting Pot is pretty commercial, but it doesn't feel like every other restaurant. The Refectory is interesting.

You'll probably want to make a reservation ASAP! Also, keep in mind many of the better restaurants have "special" V-Day only menus.
