My family will be relocating to the Chillicothe area in the near future. We will need to live within 30 minutes of Chilli. Looking for the scoop on schools, either public or private.
What are the best school systems in/around Chilli?
Should we consider living further north in Circleville or Ashville and consider commuting to private school in Columbus?
We would prefer to live in Chilli, but not at the expense of our child's education. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Schools in that area generally aren't great. They're not bad by any means, just middle of the road. The best school district in that area is Teays Valley Local School District in the Ashville area and that's what I would aim for if I had to live near Chilicothe. Definitely not worth doing private or anything near Columbus. If you're really leaning that route maybe Madison-Christian or Harvest Prep if I had to choose, but I would stick with Teays Valley

There's that private school in Zanesville, Bishop Rosecrans, maybe they have some private feeder schools they can point you to.

Unless I'm missing something, what does Zanesville have to do with this? That's well over 70 miles from Chillicothe.
Teays Valley is way north of Chillicothe, too. Great district, but even the southern fringe would push the 30-minute limit of a commute. Driving to Madison Christian or Harvest Prep would be at least 30 minutes in the other direction on top of a drive to Chillicothe.
