Hi I understand I work in Glenwood Springs and things are just nuts there. We live in Rifle and things ther are high too. It stinks when 300K will barely get you a small home or townhouse. South West Devner and North Denver have some good deals. If you wanted a small town try Trinidad CO they have great mountains but not much in the way of sking so things arent as inflated. Trinidad Colorado - Trinidad, CO - Southern Colorado Town The residents are doing alot to make the town very nice. I hope this helps. Do what you can to get the people form CA to leave.

DH and I live down in COS, actually Fountain and we gross 116K annually. Our mortgage is 1K a month and we have two vehicle payments. We financed our home for $136K. We have three kids plus one toy payment/camper of $440. Up until the past 2 years I was a stay at home with the kids so we lived off of DHs salary of 65K annually. It was enough for us.
