Hello folks...

I might be moving to Lamar in the very near future and would like to talk to someone who currently lives in or near Lamar.

If you could Private Message me and include your email address so I may ask you some questions, I'd appreciate it. I'd just rather not clog up the board with my questions.

If you don't get any responses you might just call up the county offices or local businesses and ask to speak to some people in the offices; Lamar is a pretty small town and people are friendly (Prowers county).

I've had family that lived in Lamar so I can tell you a little about it. It's the biggest town east of Pueblo in Southeastern Colorado (Around 10,000 people). They have everything there that you'll need to live off of (shopping, restaurants, a Super Wal-Mart). Like all towns in this area there's a large hispanic population. The area is very pretty and its a very affordable place to live.

That's about all I got.

A good friend of mine purchased a farm house on 40 acres in Pritchett (about 55 miles south/southwest of Lamar) for a tad under $60k. Very affordable. It's a beautiful area.
