Hi.

Planning to move from New Jersey to Colorado.

Here in New Jersey, if you rent apartment, it's most common you get FREE water, gas, sewer, and trash. All what you pay it's only electricity.

But i see in Colorado its different story. Nothing is including in apartment rent.

So, how much Colorado residents who rent apartments usually pays for all utilities including water, sewer and trash, and gas?

I was told $100, but i do not believe in it. I think it's must be more, because of long and cold winters..

Please give me some tips.

How much is your aprox bill for summer and winter time in Colorado.

Thanks.

I don't know where in Colorado you're moving to, but where I live I pay about $60.00 a month in winter for gas heat, about $20.00 a month in summer. It's so low because I live in an upstairs south facing condo and don't like to keep my place 80 degrees. A guy who lives downstairs north facing gas bill runs about $165.00 a month. My electric bill is around $50.00 a month. Very few people here have air conditioners and burn wood or wood pellets in winter. I've found out around here (Delta, Montrose, Ouray Counties) water sewer is usually provided, gas and electric is up to the tenant. Rent around here is about $700 a month on the low end (Delta Montrose about $500 a month low end).

I guess it all depends on where you're moving to. Colorado is a vast state with many different climates.
