little history on my story. attempted to move to cos in 2005. could not find work. left. but swore i would return.
currently faced with career burnout.
willing to pull out all stops and buy small business and prepare for retirement sometime down the road.
anyone with info regarding sales of small business or publications that advertise such info, i am interested to hear.
possible interests: small grocery/deli/ possible tavern with food/ etc.

Have you considered a franchise? My wife bought a tax prep franchise (shouldn't use trade names) last year and is doing very well. If you'd like to PM me I can give you the details. Since we are "older" professionals, it was just about our only option. Good luck!

I think since we are almost half-way the financial crisis it is really a good idea to just brought a franchise since you will get all the help you will need in the process unlike buying a small business for sale since you never really if it is doing well or not or if it has a goodwill among its clients.
