I was thinking about going back to school for the post-bacc accounting program at Arizona State. If you are in the accounting field, do you think this is a good idea? I have BBA in Management Information Systems and it got me nowhere. I also had family stuff going on that kept me from working for a couple of years so getting back into the IT industry isn't easy after a "furlow". The post-bacc program is basically for people who were non-accounting majors in college. You enroll as a non-degree candidate, complete 30 hours and then get a certificate. Afterwards, you have the option to take the CPA, which I plan on doing either decision I make. I'm debating whether I should enroll in this program or just go back to school for an undergrad in accounting. Thank you for your advice!

My husband has an undergrad in business waited for over 10 years before going back to school. He went strait for his MA in Taxation at USC. (the real one in SoCal!)

I think if you can go strait to an MA program, that would be your best bet.

Also, as I remember, DH did need to take a few pre-requisites before officially beginning the program.

Best of luck to you.

Sure did. I completed the program spring of 2009. I'm currently in the auditing field so I think the program worked out great for me! Good luck!
