I don't know what is worse: Holding your opponent to ten points and still losing, or getting four turnovers and only being able to score ten points.

Detroit Free Press writer (Sabin) has Iowa ranked #6 (out of 14) in his current Big 'Ten' power ranking.. Big 'Ten' is stout this year, I think the six spot is a pretty fair assessment.

Hawkeyes have a chance at spoiler this week vs Minnesota. Kinda find myself rooting for the Golden Gophers. They're on a cool, unexpected run..

Biggest Floyd of Rosedale game since 1960 maybe.

Hawkeyes have home field advantage and are probably hungry after a tough loss. Gophers are going to have to refocus after their biggest game in 60 years.

Don't usually comment on college football but good game today by Iowa and Iowa State, too. Most of my family is in Iowa so they will be happy.

Nephew went to Iowa and my BIL was a Cyclone. A little confused by the black uniforms expecting to see red & gold, shows you I don't watch enough. Now that it is colder and snowy, decided to watch.

It was a big win, Iowa gave up a lot of passing yards. Kinda bent, but didn't break. Iowa also benefitted from Minnesota's hobbled kicking game.

I love how Kirk Ferentz is always cool under pressure. Big win for Iowa but I’d love to see Minnesota get into a good bowl game. My Spartans stink so I’ll root for some other Big 10 teams .

I'm with you, and I assume part of his cool demeanor is age.. but it was in stark contrast to how animated PJ Fleck was on Minnesota's sideline.
It's bizarre to me how wild some of these coaches get. Not many professions where u can indulge your every emotion on the job.. running around, jumping up & down, screaming etc..
