The PC police haven't gotten to the Mountaineer yet. When they do, the musket will be impounded; then they'll be removing his racoon-skin cap, all of his animal leather, cutting his hair, shaving him, and dressing him in a three-piece suit! They'll make him a much better, 21st Century, totally-PC

You made a valid point about Bevo and other animal mascots!
I'm surprised that "animal rights" activists haven't totally confiscated all animals which are showcased in every way, shape, form and fashion, and not just in sports. Why not totally do away with dog shows? Horse racing? Rodeos? Circus acts? Sea World? Petting zoos? San Diego Zoo? All zoos, period? What about those painted ponies on carousels? Those flying elephants at the Disney Parks?
I'd be failing in my endeavor to save the animal kingdom if I didn't mention all of those overly-pampered and manicured mini-poodles & chihuahuas, which are usually shoved inside those overly-pampered and manicured selfie-girls' little pink purses!
