Football fans driving toward Autzen Stadium this fall will see a medieval-style stone wall running along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard until it meets a six-story, obsidianlike outcropping that is the new University of Oregon Football Operations Center.

Indiana beat Oregon at Autzen within the last 10 years. They used to have a home field advantage due to their unique turf & special shoes that could handle it, but they have since switched to FieldTurf. The place is loud though. 2nd loudest stadium in the Pac-12 behind Washington.
honestly that thing about the shoes is cool. but while Washington is loud, Autzen is louder. Kyle Field IMO is the toughest place to play in America. But its so hard to rank the fans, that's why college football is so great

Husky Stadium is louder than Autzen stadium in shear noise volume (as measured in decibels) but Autzen Stadium is loud more consistently throughout the game than Husky Stadium. The Husky Stadium record is 130 decibels, as measured by ESPN. Autzen Stadium is 127. With the massive remodel, Husky Stadium should get louder.
Oregon is going to continue to excel in PAC 12. Not just in football, either, but also in other major team sports. What Phil Knight wants, he gets. He wants Oregon to be a winner, and as long as he's alive and not senile, he's going to make it his mission to make Oregon sports competitive. They might miss Chip Kelly, but they'll still win without him. In the end, Knight will find the right guy, whether it's this new coach or another big name.

I see Oregon remaining good, but taking a slight step back. Oregon is traditionally weak state for football talent which means Oregon has to import in most of their talent from out of state. If programs in the areas Oregon is recruiting strongly in become good, it could negatively impact Oregon.
I don't see Oregon slipping back to where they were pre-1994, but they can not keep up the current pace. Heck, they had to cheat to get to this level and were recently smacked down by the NCAA.

In all fairness to Oregon, I'd wager that most of the major schools cheat on some level. It's just a matter of not getting caught or doing it in a way that's kosher in the eyes of officials. Running a football program's basically like paying taxes.
