I don't see this lasting more than 1 year, honestly. Petrino's proven he's an associate member of the "me-first" club of coaches that includes Dennis Franchione & Dennis Erickson. He'll ditch the Hilltoppers the first chance he gets.
I took a class at WKU several years back when I was getting the hours for my CPA. I think Petrino will like it there. Plenty of motorcycle parking and the coeds are a lot hotter than you'd expect for the area. I'm sure he'll be gone once an SEC school decides enough time has elapsed to court him, but in the meantime he'll enjoy his time in Bowling Green.

In the mean time, Western Kentucky, a program that has been trying to make a splash since moving up to FBS, has made that splash. If he is in BG for only a season, than so be it. Western is using him in hopes he will start some momentum with the program.

You're not the first to realize that. I promise. WKU brass beat you to the punch.
The good thing about that for all involved is that Bobbo doing a good enough job there also leaves WKU in much better shape than Willie T has left them, which ain't too shabby. CUSA bound, I reckon.
There likely won't be any SEC jobs open next year, though.

you could be wrong, many here thought he would only last at AR for a couple of years and would move on. If it hadn't been for his stupidity and ego, he would still be here. I do wish him luck, he will help W KY I am sure, but he is still a jerk...
