Eastern Washington (I-AA) over Idaho, 20-3
Minnesota over UNLV (3 OT) 30-27, a Big Ten team?
Stanford over San Jose, 20-17. the mighty Pac10?
Nevada over California, 31-24.
Ohio over Penn State, 24-14.
Iowa over N. Illinois, 18-17 (not what the Iowa crowd expected) YOUNGSTOWN State (I-AA) over Pittsburgh 31-17 (YSU was 6-5 and missed the playoffs last year)
Indiana over Indiana St. (1-AA) 24-17 (ISU has been a non-force for years).
Arizona over Toledo (OT) 24-17 another PAC disappointment
What teams MUST realize is this. If you schedule a "cupcake" on your schedule, you must remember that while it is a meaningless game on YOUR schedule, it is the BIG GAME on their schedule. Come in flatfooted and out of shape as Michigan did against Appalachian St., and you will see T-shirts about it for life.
Maryland needs to put the ball in the hands of Freshman sensation Stefan Diggs as much as possible. He's one of the best athletes in the 2012 class. A true 5* recruit.
Randy Edsall... tick tock tick tock. Things looked so optimistic after beating Miami in his 1st game as coach. A 7-6 win over an FCS team is not a sign of improvement. Hopefully (for you MD fans) he gets it together. It doesn't look like expectations are high after last season combined with losing Danny O'Brien.

To be fair, Minnesota lost to South Dakota State last year and South Dakota the year before; and Indiana is coming off a 1-11 season that included losses to Ball State and North Texas. Ohio over Penn State; I think a lot of people saw that one coming. Toledo has wins over Colorado and Purdue the past few years, and pushed Ohio State to the end last year. Not exactly a cupcake.
I agree that Ohio and Toledo and Bowling Green and N. Ill. out of the MAC all showed up bigtime. Unfortunately for the MAC, teams like E. Mich. and Akron will get destroyed when they play "BCS" conf. schools.
Actually Buffalo (MAC) hung tough at Georgia for much of the game.
Overall though, the MAC is a "mid-major" conf. that deserves lots of respect.
Maryland is probably the worst team in the ACC this year...and Wake will be near the bottom as well. But the teams they played are no slouches in their divisions, both being ranked in recent years and winning conference championships. I still think there is no way they should be able to stay with any FBS team, but try to sell that to Appalachian State (over Michigan, 2007).

Even a few more...
Oklahoma over UTEP 24-7
Wisconsin over Northern Iowa 26-21
Florida over Bowling Green 27-14

And Jacksonville St. was ahead of Arkansas in the 2nd quarter.
And another one, Western Illinois 27, Butler (I-AA non-scholarship) 15.
