I have plans to come into Wilmington this weekend and while I was there I was going to look at a house in the 400 block of Redcross Street. Can anyone tell me what the neighborhood is like there? Thanks so much.

I don't know about that exact location. However the block between Grace and Red Cross on 5th, is pretty awesome. Very historic homes, great neighbors very friendly. DM if you have more questions.

If you hang around after 11:00 at night you might be able to score some crack.

Wilmington has some nice areas downtown but this isn't one of them.

I have been told to always avoid this area specifically at all costs. It is one of the worst areas in the city with the highest rates of violent crime.

A lot of the older areas of Wilmington have pockets of revitalisation, but they are still surrounded by lower-income areas. Red Cross street is one of them. If you are on the river side or Market Street on Red Cross I'ts not too bad as the junior college and some buisnesses are there. The other side? Not so much.
