Hi,

Just wanted to say that Beaufort/Morehead City/Atlantic Beach/Emerald Isle/Newport/Downeast are all wonderful communities on or very close to the beach.

I see lots of kids riding their bikes, skateboarding, and they seem happy and free. These are smaller communities, neighborly and we look out for one another.

The several teachers I know are wonderful--dedicated and caring and their students seem to like them, too.

Worth taking a look, I think.

I came to the Morehead City/Atlantic Beach/Beaufort area for a weeks vacation. 25 years later I'm still here!!
It's a great place. Very safe, very friendly and very scenic.

New Bern is wonderful.

I also applied for a teaching position in Manteo. Kitty Hawk Elementary is also a wonderful school, as it is in a beach town. All that area along Dare County is beautiful.

Default I agree

With Burgaw, Wallace and Watha too. My sister bought a place in Watha about 6 years ago now and is planning on moving down from NJ permanently this year, we are thinking about the move too (we are in LA). We spend a few weeks there each year and like the people and the area. Very country where sis is but really great people. We'll be going up again later this year and will probably make the final decision to leave here or not then. My sisters best friend also moved there this past year after living in NJ/FLA/ and Michigan.......says she feels like she finally found heaven and someplace that feels like home.
