I Live In Currituck, Have Been Here For 10 Years. We Moved Here From Long Island, If I Can Answer Any Of Your Questions Pm Me. We Wanted To Stay Close To The Beach And After Several Trips Down The East Coast We Chose Currituck , Taxes Are Great!!! Schools As Well. Its Close To The Beach And Close To Va. It's More Humid Down Here Than Up North, But If You Want To Be On The Coast And In The South Thats Life !!!! But We Didn't Want To Go Any Further South You Need Alittle Winter To Kill The Insects And This Is Oe Of The Last States That Have A Little Bit Of Winter.... And Nooooo Snow, In The Last 10 Years We Haven't Needed A Snow Shovel, Just A Broom .

Schools are good? You've piqued my interest. Trying to find an affordable area near the cost in NC. Is it possible to find an affordable rental in that area. I have a co-worker from that area and she loves it.

YES I FEEL THE SCHOOLS ARE GOOD, I HAD A SON WHO NEEDED EXTRA HELP AND THEY WERE WONDERFUL. MY YOUNGEST IS IN 9TH AND IN HIGH SCHOOL AND NO COMPLAINTS. AS FAR AS AFFORDABLE HOUSING THEY REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY APARTMENT BUILDINGS BUT THIER ARE HOUSES FOR RENTAND SOME TOWNHOUSE KIND OF APARTMENTS BUT NOT MANY. BUT DON'T QUOTE ME, BECAUSE I AM NOT ALL THAT UP TO DATE ON RENTALS. IF YOU GO ON THE BEACH IT WILL BE WAY HIGHER.
