I would like to know what flooding and damage from hurricane Joaquin or other storms affects properties in St James an surrounding areas.

FYI, the rain we are getting is not from Hurricane Joaquin, its an entirely separate system.

Parts of Highway 17 are closed at the South Carolina line. Streets in downtown Wilmington, like New Center Drive are closed due to flooding.

We just have heavy rain from the stalled cold front. It's not Joaquin, and we don't have wind damage.

New Center Drive in Wilmington (between Market and College) has always had flooding issues since it was built. It's construction and flooding prompted the City to enact its stormwater program, requiring sites to have a stormwater plan, retention ponds, etc...

Wilmington fares pretty well because of the stormwater program, except for a few issues like New Center that were built prior to it being enacted.

Anyone hear about or see damage/high water near the town of Sunset Beach (particularly Village Park condos) or damage to the beach itself?? Thanks!
