Anyone have any info on Tara Court in Greenville? There seem to be multiple condos for sale/rent. Is it a safe area? Suitable for working mom and kids? School district not a major issue as we'd likely go private, unless Tara elementary school is good. Recreation nearby? Park / walking route for us to exercise dog? Some student residents ok, but want something suitable for kids if possible. Thansk!

Safe neighborhood, but off two busy roads. Two groceries nearby, one within walking distance. Also near drugstores, cinema, gas stations, restaurants (mostly fast food). Convenient location, but hard to turn left out of sometimes. Don't know about the dog walking, unless you're satisfied with the area between Tara and the shopping center. Closest parks I can think of: the one down Firetower Rd. and the one down Corey Rd., both about a 5 minute ride with traffic. I have no idea if the complex has a play or dog area.

Thanks! Hoping to be moving to the area - will be me, kids and dog. Will need to rent at first (selling a house), and can't find much in the way of houses for rent online that allow a dog. Any other condos/townhouse developments you would recommend? Looking for family/kid friendly and safe.

I think most condo/t-homes complexes don't have playgrounds, but rather clubhouses with swimming pools. Most likely you'll have to take your kids to a park. Winterville proper is great for families, just stay east of the RR tracks. It's almost all houses there, but there are some rentals. It might be easier if you asked about specific complexes or neighborhoods as you did with Tara. Basic rule is that the eastern/southeastern part of town is best, but Greenville can be hit or miss.
