Gday everyone!

My name is Rob, i am 21 and from Sydney Australia! I have been in the states for about 4 months now, and love it. I do not have a working visa and I am going home on November 25th from New York (right after thanksgiving)

I have spent 3 months with a mate of myn traveling around the country, we rented a car and drove everywhere from Washington DC across to San Francisco. It was amazing, the time of my life. He has since gone home, and I am looking for a place to live until mid november when I head back to New York for a week (so roughly the 16th of November I will be back in New York)

I am trying to decide where I want to stay until then. I cant afford to go hotels for the next month and a bit, so i need to rent a room off someone (which is fine, i have options) but i dont know where i should go! I am tossing up between Tallahassee (I spent 3 nights there, and loved it!) or Wilmington in North Carolina (where I am now, and I love it here) or somewhere else in America.

I dont drink, smoke or do drugs. I am just looking for an experience in a nice area with nice people and that isnt much further away from new york than I am now (since I am catching a bus back up to New york, and not a plane)

So my question to you guys is, what place do YOU think is better? (Im just gathering opionins to help make my own mind up) Tallahassee, or Wilmington? Or somewhere else in NC?

Thank you!

Personally, I would rather spend time up in the mountains. This time of the year is an incredible time to spend up there. Try Asheville or Boone.
