I have no plans to leave Wilmington unless it strengthens to a Cat 4. Getting out of town isn't difficult but getting back in after major storm damage is a pain and in some cases impossible if police block the roads.

A good point was brought up by a local on regards to staying on NPR/PRE today. Back in the day you did but have any choice but to stay because by the time you knew about the storm it was too late leave. Because of this most nastiness or long time residents have a set of skills and experience for weathering the storm.
