We will be making our first Wrightsville Beach trip this week and need to know the best family eating places- not chains. Bringing 2 nine year old girls. Activities the whole family will enjoy?

Many thanks.

I like the Oceanic (on the beach), Bridge Tender or Fish House Grill. The later two are just over the 2nd bridge towards Wilmington.

For breakfast, Causway Cafe just over bridge. For breakfast or lunch, Sweet and Savory on Eastwood right before crossing the bridge to Wrightsville. Also on mainland side, Dockside, good, informal can eat on deck overlooking intracoastal.

Try King Neptune on Wrightsville Beach (turn left at the flagpole across the sound. and it's on the left.) It is a real family restaurant with excellent food and a little train running along a track just below the ceiling.

Have you been there recently? Total dump! Not what it used to be 10+ years ago...

#14/14 restaurants ranked in WB.
