im going on a last minute vacation to either wilmington or carolina beach. And i cant seem to find a cheap motel or hotel in either or near by. can someone help me please!

wife and I stayed at Microtel on N. Lake Park Blvd (main drag) in carolina bch. very reasonable, close to shopping, rest. and the beach.

I'm glad somebody answered this post. Many of the places in Carolina Beach get terrible reviews on maps.google.com, a lot about poor conditions or service. Even the Microtel place got complaints about housekeeping.

I guess you get what you pay for, and you can't expect much at the last minute.
