Plan on moving to Washington NC. some time from the hills of Ohio, just wondered how people feel about living near the river or bay year round ? Do you get the breeze off the water, is the humdity as bad, wondering. We vacation in the Wilmington area every year in the early fall.

Coming from a much larger bay than is by Washington (the Chesapeake) I can say that it doesn't really lend it's self well to breezes in the summer. If you get out closer to the coast where the land mass heating effect will cause the winds to blow onshore there can be a good breeze. There just isn't enough water by Washington to cause that to happen very much. It is still stiflingly hot and humid, just like anywhere else.
