You might also consider downtown Jacksonville. While you might not think of it as an "artsy" town, there is a small historic district near the riverfront. Jacksonville very much needs more interesting businesses.
I do know Jacksonville a little, little larger area... I hadn't thought of it, but will check it out. I do a lot of military sculptures ,could be a good spot. Thanks
