It's interesting they don't even have a signed deal and companies are just waiting to get in on this. I have a genuinely good feeling that this project will shut up a lot of the naysayers that hated on this project.

Exactly, and thats the best way to build a project in my opinion, in phases. They are doing the same thing with The Banks Project in Cincinnati.

Anyways, another boast for University Circle:

Good to see them getting AMAZING use out of the old mansions in the area.

A LOT of development talk lately in the land of the Cleve:

- Downtown Renovations: http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2009/06/owners_hope_to_renovate_schofi.html
- Update on the medical mart: Affairs of the Mart | New Articles | New Articles | Inside Business Inside Business magazine is Cleveland's business news resource, covering meeting planning, event planning, Akron, Cleveland, Youngstown, Lorain County, creativity, and all of Northea
- New "Bike Station" on E. 4th and a contest on design...

Also, downtown landscaping is in full swing...check out Euclid Ave from E.4th-E. 6th especially.

Rumor that the new apartment complex downtown (668 Euclid Ave) will have a 4000+ sq ft grocery store/convienence store:

www.668euclidave.com/homeflash.swf

This is HUGE for all the residences of E.4th and Gateway. They no longer have to go to E. 12 Avenue Market or W.9th Constantino's or even Steelyard Commons. Walking distance is a great thing!

I'm hearing it will be open in the next 4-6 months.

Well this is the building: 668 Euclid Avenue redevelopment into apartments and retail (March 2009) | GreenCityBlueLake (http://www.gcbl.org/image/668-euclid-avenue-redevelopment-apartments-and-retail-march-2009 - broken link)

They're restoring the original terra cota facade, and the new store will be one of the storefronts down below. I believe it will be about 240 new apartments above within the whole building.

Amazing location if you ask me...arguably the heart of downtown, and only one block from East 4th.

Word is it will be done in the next 4-6 months.
