I am looking to move to Cleveland, near University Circle. I have a job offer starting in July.

I am currently living in Florida. I have been researching places to live. I have contacted Park Lane Villa, Uptown Apartments and have also received marketing information on CircleEast Townhomes. Can anyone give me any advise on these three properties. I have never visited Cleveland and don't know much about the area. I am looking for something affordable, spacious and safe. I would prefer onsite covered parking, but have not been able to get the parking info on Uptown Apartments. I know Park Lane and CircleEast Townhomes have on site, covered parking.

CircleEast is not finished yet, but it will be by the time I move. The unit layout is really cool and I like the fact that it is gated and that it has a garage. Park Lane is beautiful, but i've heard they are always rented full. Uptown has not been as easy to contact. I just received very basic info, but have yet to be able to speak somoene on the phone.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Cleveland!

Uptown is a little pricey FYI: Uptown Apartments!

Park Lane is an old historic gem. A little bit walking distance to amenities.

Hazel 8 should be ready this summer...new construction as well Hazel 8 - Living Well in the Circle

I'd only recommend CircleEast only if you know Cleveland...it's on the fridge of a tough area...but it may be a good value for new construction.

Ok, it's no Park Lane Villa, but there's an apartment building called the Excel in the Cedar/Fairmount area on Euclid Heights Boulevard that has a connected, heated garage for parking. I only mention this because when I was choosing apartments in the area I was torn between that place and the one I have now and it seemed to be difficult, at least in the Cedar/Fairmount area (near University Circle) to find a place with a connected garage.

Curious ... What exactly is "Uptown?" UC's new name? Part of UC? Something made up to make the area sound cooler?

^basically all the mixed-use construction on Euclid between Mayfield and E.118. But all the townhouses at Circle 118 and 27 Coltman are sometimes mentioned as well.

It's inside University Circle.
