We are transplants from California where there is fabulous Mexican food. Is there anywhere that we can get some great tasting authentic Mexican food in Cuyahoga or Loraine Counties?

Mi Pueblo
12270 Lorain Road
Cleveland, Ohio

Nothing more authentic in Cuyahoga County.
Next door is also a Mexican Mercado.

Friend that grew up in Texas also proclaimed it the best he has had outside of Texas.

It is still there.
Momocho is good too, but Mi Pueblo is the most authentic.

While I've never been there, Nuevo Acapulco is North Olmsted is supposed to be wonderful.

I agree with Mi Pueblo being the most authentic. It may not be a fancy place like momocho but mi pueblo definitely is more traditional, everday mexican.

El Tango taqueria in Lakewood has pretty decent food as well and often times dishes with origins in other South or Central american countries. I will say though that aside from the food the place is pretty sub par. Poor service and you order at a register.

I like their fried Ice Cream. The food is like every mexican-american place -- huge portions and pretty decent. But it's not really traditional mexican.

I was NOT a fan of Nuevo Acapulco. Dirty, chips were stale, etc. Not a fan.

LOVED Momocho, Lopez y Gonzales, and Si Senor.
