Need affordable studio or 1 bedroom apartment soonest

I have been looking for an affordable, efficiency or 1 bedroom apartment near a Metro station or bus line in Northern Virginia for the past month
w/o much luck. I am 74 and living on SS and part-time jobs. Does anyone know of anything in the $650-800 range? Or should I start looking at furnished rooms and sharing arrangements?
