In a few weeks my husband and I will be passing through Trussville and need a place to stay for one night, I know there are several places to stay in that area, which ones are the best for the money? We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express but we would like something cheaper, any suggestions, thank you.
Hard to say, since we live in Alabama we rarely stay in a hotel here. Birmingham really needs more hotels! The ones we stay in elsewhere (Hampton Inn, Sleep Inn, Jameson Inn, La Quinta) are scarcer there and are expensive. You might do better to go on to the next interstate stop, wherever that is. If you do elect to stay in the B'ham area, get a reservation ahead of time. The hotels seem to stay full on weekends. I like to check hotels at tripadvisor dot com. Happy travels!
The Jameson Inn is cheap and right off the 59 in Trussville -- cost less than Hampton Inn (had to stay in both at one point during this crazy move out here).
