Location: Rural Alachua 16 miles from Gainesville!
17.06 acres total. Take a look at this beautiful Alachua County property located in north central Florida. Gainesville and the University of Florida are only sixteen miles away. The quaint rural towns of Alachua and High Springs are about five miles distant. Huge Wal-Mart, Dollar-General, and Sysco warehouse Distribution Centers, employing about a thousand, are just a little more than a mile east of the property. Growth and appreciation potentials are pretty unlimited in this country setting. This is the last parcel from our childhood homestead and farm which has been in the family since the fall of 1948.

The remainder of 130-acre original homestead and farm has long been sub-divided into "Oak Wood" estates and a couple of private parcels. This section has 13-acres of high-production Coastal Bermuda hay that is well-groomed, fertilized, and fumigated. 4-acres are in selectively- thinned oak hardwood and pine. 85-100 oak and several pine trees have been left throughout the property. After thinning in mid-2005, we retained a 25-30 foot border around the original 28-year growth on the north, south, and east portions of this wooded area. This location is excellent for a future homesite in the woods!

School Zones: Alachua Elementary, High Springs Elementary, and Santa Fe High School.

Directions: From Alachua, go approximately 3-miles north (from High Springs 2-miles south) on US 41/441, and turn left / south (from High Springs turn right) on NW 202nd. St. Go 3-miles to junction of CR 2054. Property is located at north-east corner of County Road 2054 & NW 202nd St. CR 2054 is also known as "Peggy Road", dating back decades ago when a rural agricultural train (the Peggy Line) transported farm produce from Bell to Alachua.
