I've said this several times before, but Clayton MO has the best suburban skyline for its size. 13,000 residents with a skyline of a medium-sized city.

I drove through Clayton, reminded me a lot of Bellevue, WA. Looks like it started going vertical in the 80's. I didn't realize only 13,000 people, must be very small in land area. I love the drive from Clayton to Forest Park. A lot of old money and beautiful homes in leafy neighborhoods.

Yeah I really love that whole area from Ladue & Clayton, around Forest Park, and the Central West End. I can't describe it as anything but "classy"

The city of Clayton is only 2.5 sq miles. It's an inner ring suburb of St. Louis. It's not some little town of 13k people out in the middle of nowhere. I think its like 5 or 6 miles from the downtown core of St. Louis. For all intents and purposes, it's a secondary downtown of St. Louis.
^ The thread is about suburban skylines, that's why I posted about Clayton. Nobody claimed that Clayton was a town in the middle of nowhere. The point is, it's a relatively small suburb with a big skyline. You won't find many suburbs like it.
Anyways, my vote goes for the City of Niagara Falls, New York.
A city with a population of only, 55,593 has a pretty good skyline for itself, and what makes the skyline better is it's proximity to the Niagara Falls Waterfall.
LOL. Sounds like you've never been to the suburbs of DC. The skyline of some of the DC suburbs will put a shame to the photo that you posted, as well as your downtown of Austin.
I'd post photos, but as soon as I link the photos the moderators will remove it since it's against city-data policy. Unfortunately I'm not a photographer and I don't have any of my own photos to post. If I did it would be the following DC suburbs - Rosslyn, Ballston, Clarendon/Courthouse, Crystal City, Bethesda, Silver Springs, Tysons Corner, and a few others...
