I love love love Victoria, B.C. , the inner harbor area. Walkable, charming, and gorgeous. Anyone know of a place like this in the U.S. so I can move there? Perhaps sunnier?

Would it be copyright infringement to post pics of Chicago from the Net on here?
IMO, downright stunning! And very walkable. Plus Daley's got trees & flowers everywhere - even on rooftops! Don't know so much about quaint, maybe closer to Streeterville, but that's stunning too. Or North State Parkway area (really "North" State Street :>))...

Beautiful picture m_r2z0
Don't watch t.v. but travel around a lot with my job and Atlanta is by and far the most impressive and beautiful city I have seen anywhere. Wouldn't want to live there though. Or drive there on a daily basis.
I've seen tons of attractive, small towns with town squares in many states.
After reading for a couple hours on these boards it boils down to most people just want a medium town life with safe crime free areas. Good schools, low cost of living and some things of interest to do. Sadly when you read about these kind of towns people are complaining that it is boring.

Tulsa does have a decent downtown, especially for a city its size (around 400K).

I agree with some of the other posts:
Savannah Ga, Charleston SC, Newport RI...DC and Boston for the bigger cities.

I mentioned Santa Fe as a great walkable small downtown, but Id have to agree about Chicago, Im glad someone else notices how wonderful it is. NYC is different, its almost too huge to enjoy, whereas Chicago offers just as much in a 1/3rd size package.
