As you already know Papi, I like the Southern accents the best. They *USUALLY sound like music to my ears.
I also like the Northern accents, so do not get upset with me this time. In fact I like most accents, it would be very boring if we all talked the same.
That being said, the home of the most proper sounding English (outside Buckingham Palace) is of course .............. Long Island.
Depends on the situation. I already KNOW this is sterotyping and 100% not true, but ;while I really like a Southern accent on a woman, I don't want a brain Surgeon sounding like Gomer Pyle while explaining the operation. Before anybody comes all unwrapped and defensive, I know it is wrong and there are some truly Great Southern Dr's. Just like I don't want the Pit-Master at a favorite BBQ joint sounding like he should be hawking hot-Dogs off a cart in Brooklyn, or some slick Boston Lawyer.
What does a "Northern accent" sound like? Brooklyn? Bronx? Albany? Buffalo? Detroit? Minneapolis? Chicago? Baltimore? Philly? Pittsburgh?.....?
Have you never heard any of those accents before?
I would imagine the OP is asking which do you like better--as in the Northern accent as a whole or a Souther accent as a whole. The Southern accent while sounding different in all state all sound a bit similar, they sure arnt Cali or Boston accents and the Northern accents kinda all sound alike too except for like NYC and Wisconsin but I dont know if we are considering that as the north right now in this discussion.
we've all heard a hundred times how there are different versions of Southern and Northern accents , this thread has probably been done 20 times also
