Northbrook,Glenview,Buffalo Grove vs Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Plymouth

Are they COMPARABLE? That is my MAIN QUESTION. ARE THEY SIMIALAR AND IS ONE "GROUP" MORE RURAL OR SUBURBAN than the other?

Thanks

I don't think you can compare them. Chicago suburbs are like ununified little cities. There are a bunch of regions and those regions are composed of towns.

Here is an example:
Population of towns in NW Suburbs
Bartlett- 36,840
Streamwood-36,732
Schaumburg- 74,511
Hoffman- 50,352
Hanover Park- 38,278
South Barrington- 3,729
Barrington Hills- 4,162
Barrington- 10,018
Inverness- 6,374
Palatine- 65,156
Rolling Meadows- 24,618
Arlington Heights- 76,098
Mount Prospect- 56,706
Elk Grove- 34,758
Prospect Heights- 17,541
Wheeling- 34,411
Buffalo Grove- 42,591
Long Grove- 6,735
Kildeer-3,460
Deer Park- 3,102
Des Plaines- 58,695

Total= 684,777 [It would be the 16th largest city in America; between Columbus, OH & Austin, TX]

Streamwood, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, and Hanover Park (my area) have 199,873 people giving it more people than Orlando, FL.
