New York overall is better than L.A. I dont like even classifying los angeles as a city because it is so spread out. I like how New York is very dense. plus the area of New York is nicer than Los Angeles

I HAVE LIVED IN BOTH L.A AND N.Y...CURRENTLY IN N.Y., BOTH PLACES HAVE THEIR GOOD POINTS:
IN LA YOU CANNOT BEAT THE WEATHER OR THE BEACHES.
IN NY YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRIVE TO GO OUT TO EAT OR TO SHOP FOR GROCERIES, NY HAS THE MOST FRIENDLY PEOPLE, LA HAS UPTIGHT, FULL OF THEMSELVES PEOPLE.

IF SOMEONE TOLD ME I COULD ONLY CHOOSE ONE OF THEM TO LIVE IN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE...I WOULD HANDS DOWN CHOOSE NEW YORK!!!!:c ool:

No way. I was born and raised in LA and will always have love for it. With that said LA has nothing on NY. The entertainment, the arts, the museums, the parks, the architecture, the people the shopping. I can have just about anything delivered right to my door! I never have to sit in traffic, I take public transportation and read. I love LA but NY is the greatest city on earth.

New York is fun to vist, but Los Angeles is a far better place to live as hundreds of thousands if not millions of transplants from New York have confirmed with their feet for nearly a century.

^^^ The majority of which are probably senior citizens. Even then, there are tons of people from the West, who have moved to the NYC area over the years.

Seniors? Not. New Yorkers, young and old, still come. And I really don't think there has been a large migration of people from the "West" as you state to the New York region. In recent years, North Carolina, yes, New York state or city, no!

Not enough to offset the tons who have left NY for LA over the years. This is a historical fact. Much of LA's Jewish population, for example, hails from NY. The reverse is not true.
