Portland, OR or Pittsburgh, PA?
I like Portland when it's not going through political hysteria. I use to visit a lot when I lived in Seattle and there are a lot of things I appreciate about it. Particularly the parks, bars, and dining. That said I've never been to Pittsburgh and it looks like a very picturesque city with character and an interesting legacy, so I'd pick Pittsburgh.
Vancouver Island (not the city) in BC or Newfoundland?

Vancouver Island (not the city) in BC or Newfoundland?
Vancouver Island is beautiful as well, and Victoria is nice so that. Although Newfoundland has some hidden gems as well.
Nashville or Edisto Beach, SC (reason for those two is we're trying to decide between the two for a weekend trip).
Daytona. I love the mountains and ocean, but would rather be at the beach.
Great Smoky Mountain National Park (NC/TN) or Yellowstone National Park (WY)?
I love Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and in most cases, I would pick it in a heartbeat. But I've never been to Yellowstone, and it's very high on my wish list, so I'll go with that.

Austin. I like seeing old suburban areas being upzoned and redeveloped, and while Nashville is definitely doing that, it's not nearly as far along.
Buffalo, NY or Duluth, MN?
