Portland, Maine. Both Portland and Charleston are quaint and nice. But I love a coastal skyline.
Sarasota, Florida. Bradenton is smaller and cute, but Sarasota's is fun!
Next: Chicago, Illinois or San Francisco, California?
Chicago has twice as many skyscrapers and is more dense. I like the Chicago skyline a lot: tall, sleek, very aesthetically pleasing.
But San Francisco is getting more dense, and getting more tall, and the transamerica pyramid tower and golden gate bridge, along with the new dense clusters of buildings going up, gives the edge to San Francisco for me.

Houston vs Seattle?
Seattle. The skyline looks denser and more filled in. I like the architecture better and scenery.

Tampa, FL or Providence, RI?
I'll give the edge to Tampa, although I like the aesthetics of Providence buildings better. Tampa will be building a lot more in the upcoming years, so their skyline has a much better future for density and height, as well.

Tampa, FL or Louisville, KY?
Tampa. Louisville has been stagnant at building any more skyscrapers. Tampa will be adding some decent towers pretty soon.

Tucson, AZ or Rochester, NY?
Rochester for me and it's not close. Most folks use the Catalina Mountains in the background as the qualifier in choosing Tucson's skyline, which is otherwise disappointing for a city of it's size. IMO if you need to use mountains as the reason, we have a different definition around the intention of the term skyline.

Lansing MI or Topeka KS?
Lansing in my opinion has more "meat on its bones". Corpus Christi Tx or Mobile AL?

Chicago. To me while SF does have some nice looking buildings, I prefer the look of Chicago's skyline.

My very favorite building between these 2 cities, is the RSA Battle House Tower in Mobile. That said, to me Corpus Christi stands out a little more to me, so I'll go with Corpus. And the harbor bridge you see in the background of certain Corpus skyline photos, also is nice. Mobile could better compete with Corpus, if it had like 4-6 more highrises.

El Paso, TX, or Boise, ID?
Boise Idaho, Both Smallish skylines Boise just a taaad bit bigger A tad bit denser and a tad bit more modern and The Idaho State Capitol tilts the balance toward Boise
Both have Mountain Backdrops so El Paso's point for that is negated

Peoria Illinois or Augusta Georgia
I picked Peoria because of less gaps. Sacramento or Ft. Worth?

I like Sacramento a bit better--more density, slightly.
Atlanta or Dallas?
