These cities are quick day trips from a more popular city close to them. Which one would you rather visit for a one to two day visit and why?

Criteria..........

Food
Nightlife
Culture
Safety
Architecture
Entertainment
Neighborhoods
Landmarks
Uniqueness
Fun for tourists

Please mention any other criteria pertaining to a persons 1-2 day visit in these cities.

One where you wouldn't have to drive around much and there are a lot of things close together and interesting. Baltimore or Lauderdale.

Toss up btw Providence and Baltimore.

Ive been to both places before, and a both are great day-trip destinations.

Baltimore and Providence are the greatest of those cities. They can stand on their own even without their nearby larger, more popular neighbor. The rest of them are glorified suburbs i.e. San Jose/Oakland - San Francisco, Fort Worth - Dallas, etc.

San Jose is overshadowed nationally by San Francisco. When you hear the term "Bay Area" you think of San Francisco first and foremost. San Jose only comes into the conversation if the tech industry or Silicon Valley is being discussed. It's more than a suburb but its not the principal city of its urban area.
