L.A. doesn't need a massive skyline to compete with any other city. Only a fool would believe that a massive skyline makes a city. Just look how London ranks number one over New York.

I agree. For a city its size, L.A.'s skyline is nothing special but it doesn't really need a good skyline to be considered an important city. It's layout is pretty much the anti-thesis of most large American cities.
I'm not too sure about the movie industry growing over there. I hear that quite a few studios are moving elsewhere
