c) yes, in that direction, but not the other way around...I think that Pittsburgh is now too "fixed up" that it would be harder for someone to move toward Cleveland

Houston and LA are practically sister cities, get used to it Hollywood....you're a bad day away from being a Texan!

Portland and Seattle couldn't be more similar, yet you think Portland is provicial and a river town and Seattle is "worldly"? Seattle is more worldly, but is just as provincial as Portland if not moreso, considering it's isolated to 90%+ of the U.S. population. I can't think of ONE person who's said "I love Seattle, but I could NEVER live in Portland", because that person does not exist -- both cities cater to smart, hipster, yuppy tree-hugging transients.

If you follow my logic (and obviously you don't), you'd notice that the arrows are "moving up", not down. Pittsburgh being "fixed up" is precisely why I have Cleveland being the "A" in the "if you like A, then you'll love B" equation....so you and I actually agree here, despite your best efforts.

Obviously you see where I'm going with this - You can't assume people will like 1 city because of another. Some may, sure. Some won't.
You CAN, you just have to IMAGINE! Try it, it's fun!!

Thanks. I've always liked Houston. It is easily the least pretentious, friendliest, yet affordable and relaxed of America's heavy-hitter cities.

Yeah, and they tend to be drab and not very interesting. Somehow they find each other. Must be the smell of hemp.

Like the list for the most part but I don't agree with Cleveland -> Pittsburg or Denver->Seattle. Both cases are two entirely different cities with different feels. The climates are different, different settings, different people, Different culture, etc.
