Never said it was an urban paradise. But it is at least twice as dense as Houston. I've only been Houston's freeways once but LA's roads are a sh*t show.

I'd have to go w/ LA. Spent about a week there driving all around to visit family and friends. It was intense to say the least.

LA no doubt, also i remember horror stories when they shut down the 405 freeway, i believe it was Carmageddon.

having visited Houston multiple times (grew up in San Antonio) and now living in LA, I can guarantee that LA has worse traffic than Houston. At least the weather is much more tolerable

Lots of people do similar crazy commutes to NYC every morning too, though. I don't think there's a correlation.

Would agree, one thing Houston has is an abundance of huge highways and many less people much more spread out.

In terms of traffic I would think SF/DC/NYC/Atlanta would all be worse (than Houston, LA to me is consistently the worst on a macro level but all cities have their nasty spots) based on my experiences with their traffic.

LA is pretty crazy with traffic, part of the culture. Not just car culture but backup culture
