If you're extremely career driven and like a hectic big city lifestyle, NYC or DC for sure.
If you're laid back with more than low six figures, SF works well. But beware if you're making less than say 200k you will be poor in SF (unless you lived in a burb with more crime).
If you're laid back with low six or less, Seattle or Portland are simply awesome.
1. Washington DC (best location for everything I would want to do)
2. Atlanta (only because that 6 figure salary w/ no kids will go a long way)
3. Los Angeles (most fun to be had given having no responsibilities to anyone but myself)
Are you seriously going to try to identify a city as being undisputed? That's the antithesis of what goes on here at C-D on a daily basis. Without disputes, most of these threads would die after one post.
how does denver make the list but not minneapolis/st. paul?????
