On a serious note, theyre both really different cities.

The only similarities are that they are defined by their tall buildings and subway cars. A similar city aesthetic.

Seriously? Are they different cities? Of course New York City and Chicago are very different cities of different age, history, character and location but what should be said first is that one is three times bigger than the other which makes any comparisons... moot.
Going back to the topic, I don't think Chicago can really offer anything significant that a three times bigger New York City can't, maybe general affordability and even that is highly subjective. I guess the op wanted to prove that there are some areas where Chicago excels but having visited Chicago many times, I really can't think of any. After all, New York City is generally considered the world's top urban experience or one of the very few at the top.

To answer the question there is nothing I can think of in Chicago that you can't get in NYC overall.

What does Chicago have to offer that New York can't?

A bigger better Navy Pier and deep dish pizza.

What does Chicago have to offer? Being a smaller, less chaotic and more organized, affordable, laid back and down to earth large, diverse, cultural American city.

By the way, New York is way better organized than Chicago. LOL

While I am not a fan of Navy Pier, I guess one could make that argument, haha.

I agree with some of what you said, but you think Chicago is more organized and diverse than NYC??
