Although, I live in North Carolina, I think that Virginia's cities are better. Why? Becasue most of them either have rivers or mountains, while the majortiy of North Carolina's cities have neither one.

The grass IS always greener on the other side. That being said, Richmond is not nice. Horrible crime and rude folks for the most part.

NC, way better than the hell hole of Virginia, where there is crime and poverty stricken cities.

Not hardly! There is crime in certain areas of downtown but it only gives the whole metro area a bad reputation. The Richmond area is a safe place to live with alot of friendly people (especially in the suburbs but in much of downtown as well)

North Carolinian cities are bland and boring (ie: Raliegh, Durham, Greensboro, Fayetteville, etc).

Overall I would say Virginia has the better cities. But the best city between the two states combined is Asheville, NC. I would love to live there.
