I can't believe you haven't realized the huge behemoth of Augusta. It's the fastest rising city in the Southeast and will easily overtake Atlanta. Just watch.
smaller cities rise fast, that is why New York can gain a million people and not be anywhere near the top fastest growing cities, but a city like Gilbert, would gain 10 000 and be one of the fastest growing cities.
So what they are saying is that rates can be deceiving when you are comparing a city to another 10x its size.
You cannot compare Augusta to DC or Houston. In a bad year either of the two has greater growth than Augusta

Do you mean growth rate in population? That's still to be seen when the census comes out.
Or do you mean the economy growth rate? Yes, DC 6.9% is higher than Augusta, but the 1.4% change in Augusta is better than .1% in Houston..
The guy does it all the time. It really makes Augusta, an otherwise fine city, look bad.
