Having been all over the USA (West Coast, Gulf Coast, East Coast, interior) …I can tell there is no perfect overall city. Some cities have ‘sections” that are almost fantasy like in one area…only to have run down ghetto areas in another section of the city. Most cities seem to have larger areas that a run-down and/or in need of fixing up…than nice areas.

We have seen enough photos of the bad sections/parts of cities across the USA…now how about some national pride!

What are the most fantasy like areas/sections of the major cities in the USA? In my travels around the USA…Miami Beach/Ocean Drive is probably the most fantasy like area of any big city in terms of climate/beaches/dining/world-class resorts…etc.

Miami Beach:

What is some others?

Miami is a damn beautiful place - same for the rest of south Florida, up through Ft Lauderdale, Boca, and the Palm Beaches. I love watching Burn Notice just for the scenery (well, also because I like the show, but the scenery's a huge part of it).

I doubt New England doesn't have beautiful suburbs. I doubt any region doesn't have any extravagant areas.

The lower peninsula of Charleston SC is too beautiful for words.

Carmel CA is an enchanted hobbit village.

Default 600th post, Wow

I love Times Square at night.

But especially with snow, it's like magic to me, that's how it felt when I was lil.

Cape May or any New Jersey beach town, they're so idyllic.

Provincetown or any part of Cape Cod.

Some more in Connecticut

Mystic (pics won't do it any justice)

Old Lyme

Near Hammonasset Beach

Enfield

That's just a few of my favorites.

The French Quarter and Garden District of New Orleans could fit this bill.
