If you watch the kicks at the end of the game, the Chicago goalie somehow misjudges seemingly every kick. Meanwhile, it looks like the Chicago kickers are barely trying.

I must admit I got sucked into this at first after Columbus lost. It was a shocker. But then I started thinking back to what happens in minor league baseball and I quickly figured out what was going on. But after FC Cincinnati winning two in a row against MLS opponents, it should be obvious to all.

Crew Stadium is in a very poor location for the soccer demographic. It is in the hood and hoodies in general are not soccer people. That stadium should be in the Arena District and I'm guessing that one day it will be.

Yes, it should and it was, however obviously not how you fallaciously see it...

From today's Business Journal:
* https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinna...attention.html
"FC Cincinnati's landmark win over Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire less than two weeks ago had an epic impact, and not just because it advanced the club to the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals Wednesday night in Miami. It also got FC Cincinnati and the city massive global attention."

I was in Montreal last week and went to a Montreal Impact game. I wore my FCC shirt and had multiple fans at a supporter bar before the match come up to me and congratulate me on beating the Crew and the Fire. Congratulations continued during the match at the stadium too. It was a great experience. FCC is the talk of the soccer world, which is exciting and great for our city.

Plus US Soccer posted this great article before the Fire match: Cincinnati, Ohio: Soccer City USA - U.S. Soccer

And now we have the USWNT coming to Nippert this September. Very exciting.
