Remember....and to pass it on to others in memory of those who have served, those who are still serving, and 'those who gave their last full measure of courage'....

Just got back from decorating the graves of my Dad-Navy-WW2, my Brother-Army-Vietnam-66-67 and my two uncles--USMC WW2 and Korea.

We definitely need to honor those who have served, especially those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. At the same time I believe we need to question why we are involved in some conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan which seem to go on forever and have taken such a heavy toll in both American military lives but even more in the maiming and destruction of individual lives and families. If our military leaders cannot devise methods to bring these wars to conclusion I say just come home. It seems like ever since Vietnam there has been this limited warfare concept due to the fear of somebody unleashing a nuke. To me the limited warfare is doubly cruel in that it is like well we have to accept a certain number of casualties it is a fact of life. Personally I do not believe we should ever accept a single American casualty we send out to defend the rights of our country. Just my opinion.
