I have a bunch of family in Ohio, and most live in suburbs of Cincinnati. I have been looking at some craigslist listings for apartments in cincinnati, and there are a ton in Kentucky. I was wondering if there were any tax benefits, or other benefits to living in KY and working in OH. Is this a common thing for people to do this?

I can tell you one disadvantage: people in Kentucky are not always thrilled to have Ohioans in their midst.

Nope... Can't think of a reason, especially taxes, of any significance, particularly for a renter. Where KY has lower taxes in some areas, they make up for it by nickel and diming you in others. But as you say, there are tons of apartments in NKY and many are convenient to working downtown. I wouldn't think twice about an apartment in NKY I liked and was a good job commute.
