My 1999 hard top sustained damage to the right front driver's side corner (from the door side to the driver's side roof clamp. There are multiple cracks straight through. It also cracked behind the driver's side door underneath the side window. This crack runs parallel to the body about 1" up from it. It starts at the end where the door and top close together.
Has anyone had success with a repair of this nature? I don't want to do the repair, rather looking into a body shop (insurance claim). Any advice or details of your experience is most welcome.

Does not sound good, OhBeeHave . . .
My CJ-7 has not had a top, hard or soft, in many many years, however, if I do remember correctly, Hard Tops are mostly, if not all, fiberglass.
My suggestion would be to contact a couple of companies that manufacture these Fiberglass Hard Tops for repair or replacement advice.
Thanks. Among my concerns is climate vs. the composite/fiberglass. If not done correctly and any water gets into the crack, my biggest fear is the freezing weather will open the cracks back up.

If there's any in your area I'd look for either a Corvette specialist or a boat repairman.
