Hello... Several months ago the fuel gauge, mph, and rpm info just started all turning off at the same time. Not working, and the air bag light comes on when this happens.
Anyone know whats going on? It doesn't effect how things are running.
I've got a Grand Cherokee that's a bit older than yours. They were prone to some specific "electrical" issues - most of which involved either the PCM mounted on the firewall, or the computer module inside the dash that's in front of the shift lever.

It's a very common problem on that era of Cherokees. It's caused either by problems in the wiring loom that feeds the instrument panel or in the gauge module itself. Often, it will be an intermittent issue that will come and go for years. Usually, though, it eventually fails completely and replacing either the gauge unit and/or the loom becomes necessary. That is probably the biggest weak spot on what is otherwise one of the best vehicles that Jeep has ever made.
The problem is more commonly the plug on the back of the gauge cluster or the ground. Your local Jeep dealer should have an updated plug to help fix the problem. You can also remove the gauge cluster and disconnect the plug. Clean it put some dielectric grease on it and re-install.
